  A boutique beach hotel about 30 minutes drive from booming southern coast town - Matara. The hotel itself is a bit far from the daily convenience, but its drawcard is a section of excellent beach that is just part of this hotel. Not many beaches along the south coast around Matara are suitable for swimming or surfing, but this is the One. The beach is just a couple of steps out of hotel lobby with everything for beach swimming or relaxing provided. There is also a nice indoor swimming pool next to hotel beach. Like the most of the hotels and guest houses along the Sri Lanka south coast, it was newly built after the 2004 tsunami. So everything are new in the hotel, clean, spacious and modern room with ocean view, very good restaurant and certainly parking space. Quite reasonable rate for a hotel of such location and facilities. I stayed there for the next morning whale watching departing from Mirissa harbour.

  Nice hotel. Sea directly in front is very violent and one person had to be rescued while we stayed here. So walk down five minutes to your left and there is a much calmer area. The hotel reception exchanged currency but if you use 20 pound British notes they give you less than if you use 50 pound notes, silly. The breakfast is poor, not a good selection. The aircon periodically goes out and you start sweating in minutes. It wasnt working when we arrived. The safe wasnt working either, spent my first hour here waiting for staff to come to the room to sort it out. The staff otherwise are very helpful and always smiling. The room was a generous size also. A lot of families here. One thing they really should do is NOT let people who are not staying here use up the few sun loungers available. There were none for us, yet a group of 6 tourists not staying here came in the morning, ordered one coke, stayed the entire day using all the loungers. Prioritise for your own guests.

  Excelent hotel. Big, clean and very well decorated ooms, A/C works perfect. The restaurant is also marvellous. A top place without any doubt.
