  We chose Sea Change from reviews and photos on trip advisor . Some places fill their page with lovely photos that make the place look much better than it really is. Well let me tell you that this place is every bit as good as the photos and the positive reviews are all good. Cleanliness is spot on they even sweep the sand every day under the palm trees. Breakfast is fantastic. What with the jet lag I was up at 6:30 most mornings and you just go down to the open kitchen and help yourself to a pot of coffee go down the beach and watch the sunrise over the lagoon. Then at 7:30 breakfast is served fruit ,juice eggs toast and pancakes some days they also do Sri Lankan breakfast. The rooms are well appointed very comfy bed immaculate cotton sheets, good AC and a clean modern shower wc. The grounds are lovely. A covered veranda breakfast dinner area leads onto manicured grass and then lovely soft sand amongst the palm trees leading down to the beach and sun loungers. The beach like most along this bit of coast has the large rolling waves crashing down on the reef with long stretches of sandy beaches, making swimming a bit perilous with the strong currents but there is a hidden gem here at Sea Change. As you go down the steps to the beach turn left and walk 50 meters to a secluded lagoon which is protected from the large breaking waves by a spit of reef. This is a huge pool easily 50x100 meters perfect for snorkelling, swimming or just laying on the beach and have the gentle waves lap your feet. Location : We got the train from Hikkadua to Talpe which took about 45 mins and was 60 rp A 5 min tuk tuk to the hotel. 10 min walk along the beach is coco bar perfect for sundowners and food Unawatuna is a 15 min tuk tuk and Galle 20/25 Great value for money lovely staff great location.

  You get what you pay. Great views but a good drive away from Galle. The staff was helpful but don't expect much from the rooms, they were bare essential and we witnessed a couple of hours with no water in the bathroom.
