I really liked here because it was really comfortable. Actually there was no door for the hotel entrance, allways someone is sitting and watching and is ready to serve. Here is a small pool that you can use all the day and night. In the night you can ask for lights. Rooms are large and clean. Good view to the yard, has air conditioner, and sofa. Staff are really helpful, good breakfast served near the river with nice view. But the river itself is a little polluted.

Serendib village guest house is a small guest house but it's a worthy hotel when compare with the price.its not on the beach but only about 500 m walking distance to the lovely Negom Bo beach.

Wonderfull accommodation and personal are all real friendly and eager to help. Room was beautiful and so were the pool, bathroom and terrace for breakfast. Only thing that bothered me we're the smell at the terrace and there were no mosquito nets.. and if you're as loved by mosquitos as I am, you'll suffer the consequences.

Probably the nicest place I stayed at in Sri Lanka (although the others were cheap Guest Houses). Our room was spacious, clean and felt really modern. The Air-Con worked well, the bed was huge and comfortable and the WiFi was actually quite fast. There's also a large sofa to relax on. The only issue with the rooms is that they are all connected by the same balconies and this means that unless your curtains are closed other guests can see into the rooms which have floor to ceiling glass. The swimming pool is really nice although it's quite small, at night it's lit up with multicoloured LEDs which is cool. At the back of the garden area there is an old Dutch canal and there's a seating area overlooking this. What's strange is that to get to this area you have to walk along the edge of the swimming pool, there is no proper path. So if you're old or disabled you run the risk of falling into the pool if you want to get to some of the other seats etc. The breakfast was nice although the masses of flies and mosquitoes made it a little bit stressful although that's hardly the hotels fault I guess.
