  Well if you're seeking simple but hospitable living just stay at Shan's Place. Roshan is his full name and he, his Mum and Dad, live in this small house in Polhena, just 5 mins from the famous Polhena Beach. Shan is a deep sea diver for tropical fish so able to organise all kinds of fishing expeditions or just simple and enjoyable snorkelling. The family look after you so well and the house. although simple, has all modern facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I am sure you could to. If there's more than a few of you Shan can arrange for other families nearby to accommodate also. This is by far the best way to experience and see Sri Lanka.
