Hatton Railway tunnel of Sri Lanka is longest railway tunnel of Sri Lanka. It is 559.75m long. Hatton railway tunnel can be identifies as Singimale railway tunnel because this tunnel is at Singimale mountain area which is closed to Hatton area. This tunnel had been renovated several times due to slight and heavy earth slips. It had been renewed for the last time firmly by the Sri Lankan locomotive engineers. The locomotion had been previously obstructed several times and the railway workers had even made a vow for the god. The inside of the Hatton tunnel very darkest. Area of the tunnel is rural one and there are no any shelters close to tunnel.
