  The worst place we had on our vacation in Sri Lanka. The house was dirty, sea is too rough to bath. Location is destroyed by tsunami so there is nothing to see and to do, you always need to take taxi to go anywhere. Description does not reflect reality. We quit this stay after 1 night, and never got the money back for not stayed nights (even we did not get any response for our request). DO NOT GO THERE!!!

  My spouse lara and me were staying at Bennet's place for two weeks and it was absolutely great. Bennet is living close by and was visiting us more or less every day in order get everything we need. He has organised the food, planned our trips and even joined us to Pigeon Island. The caretaker was responsible for the garden and the security - even though I wonder why, as the people there are absolutely friendly. We had Yoga and Ayurveda sessions and enjoyed the swimming at the lake. Lara’s favourite was the quite lake, whereas I enjoyed the waves at the beach. It is an absolute bonus, that we had our privacy in the garden and direct access to the lake. So there was no one we had to share with. Additionally, this was not a typical touristic place. It is very authentic, so I was able to see the people, land and the culture. The very spicy food was also delicious. However, you have to note that swimming is more or less required, because it is every day very hot. A day without jumping into the water would have been too hot for me and Lara.

  I have been staying at the villa “Sri Lanka Holiday” in Batticaloa for a week. It was just amazing. I can definitely recommend the place, because I loved the Ayurveda treatment and the daily private Yoga sessions. Even though I have done Yoga before in groups, I must admit that a private session with this well-known Yoga instructor was something special. This place is definitely a place to be, if you want or need to relax and rejuvenate. Thank you for the great time. 5 Stars from me. Anna Maria Sol

  This property is a two bedroom holiday villa in the fishing village of Navalady, located across the lagoon from the city of Batticaloa. Each bedroom is equipped with a mosquito net and air conditioning, in order to ensure the comfort of all guests. Along with this, there is a well furnished living room downstairs, as well as a bathroom. The house is adapted for relaxation. There are hammocks available in the nearly 1000 square metre garden, as well as seating both indoors and out and a large dining table located in the garden. The Batticaloa Lagoon is at the end of the garden, and is a peaceful place to enjoy swimming, boat trips and windsurfing. A deserted beach is also just 300 metres away from the house, which offers gorgeous sunsets and is an excellent place to sample Sri Lanka's surf as well. Relaxation is also assured by the availability of a Yoga teacher for all guests. Enjoy daily sessions with a master, with the option of attending a local Hindu temple. Full Ayurvedic sessions are also provided if desired, so that guests can feel healthy and contented during their stay with us. Security is ensured by the presence of a caretaker and security guard, both of whom are on call 24 hours per day to respond to the needs of guests.
