  This is a women’s social enterprise shop, run by the Women’s Development Centre Kandy, a local women’s NGO. All the products are handmade by local women entrepreneurs who have have received skills training by WDC in order to pursue entrepreneurship and to be economically empowered. I volunteered for this organization for 3 months, and can definitely attest that this shop is one of your most ethical options to buy souvenirs or traditional clothing in Kandy.
