  This is a primary and secondary school for the villages kumbalwala, Ilukhena, kirigahapitiya and meenaewa. No govt funding seem to be allocated for the development of the school. The existing buildings are much older and in need if renovation. The olace is possibly understaffed and the parents too tend to send their kids to popular schools in the city rather than sending them here even if the school is at the villege itself. Hence. The school has been neglected and under developed.
