  Food cold, staff only concerned with dancing. Not a great place to eat considering its location. Buy a beer and use their very comfortable sun beds, otherwise avoid.

  Superb place to having food and drink. Delicious sea food items and friendly service. Everyone who comes to mirissa for having fun should go to sunshine beach restaurent

  We're used to the service being slow in Sri Lanka but the places in Mirissa are rotten. We went to this restaurant on the beach for a simple meal, arrived just before 7. After ordering we waited an hour before asking if the food would be much longer. The first person we asked went to check but never came back. 15 mins later we asked another person and he did come back but said the place was busy so it would be a bit longer. Meanwhile two other tables walked out as they weren't prepares to wait. The food arrived cold and was below average. I had a chicken satay dish and got a tiny amount of chicken with a teaspoon of peanut butter to the side. The rice was nice enough but an undercooked fried egg on top ruined it. In total we were there for 2 hours.

  Run by thugs, who will try to Hustle you out of your cash. Me and 12 other friends (Foreigners) had a nice time out in the beach, then the true faces of the business was shown when the bill was bought. As majority of my friends were females, they gave the cash to us and left to a party, They had a bought two bills and asked us to pay. When checked, they had billed us twice over the same orders, When we inquired them to amend the mistake they threaten to beat up, Drag back the females from their hair and make they pay, Also boldly claimed how they have 'hammered' both police and foreigners. The setting is nice, the ambiance is nice, food is nice but don't give these unethical pigs business for how they behave. For your information, our inquire was as civil as it can get, yet these people did not care for civility especially for their paying customers whom they made the mistake. I'd also love to bring up the fact, first statement they said when we inquired about the bill was "We don't serve your kind" Followed by disgusting profanity and aggression. Only reasonable guy was the fellow whos abit buffed that handles the front sea food table. Rest were all typical rowdy thugs.

  It was my own experience stay over there. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast was very testy excellent . The staff very friendly and 24 hours security. The wel coming was excellent. They were arranging for weal watching. If you can walk 15 minutes see the harbour , light house and fish market. Fully day You will enjoy to the beach. I am really happy to stay there.
