  Do not specify a credit card when registering and will avoid the hotel, will refuse the charge and will not refund it even if you cancel the booking at any time. They're thieves!

  We used Canes Boutique 2, nice apartment but very limited in-house options.

  Beware of their free cancellation policy. They will charge you before you go to hotel. I had very bad experience. It took me 45 days to get my money back. This comment not about staying in hotel but their shoddy free cancellation policy

  A budget hotel masquerading as a posh one, don't be fooled by the professional pictures they've taken. Our 'economy' room was really dirty, the air-con was super dodgy and the bathroom was really basic. There were loads of mosquitoes flying around our room and the lounge and when we asked if they had mosquito nets they laughed! The staff spoke okay English and answered our questions about Colombo in a friendly manner so apart from the mosquito net reaction I can't complain about them. The hotel is tucked away in a grotty side street and near to a main road. It's far from a scenic setting but then I don't know if anywhere in Colombo can be considered scenic... We paid something like £45 a night and we felt this was way overpriced for what we got. Maybe the 'premium' rooms are actually nice but what we experienced was pretty bad.
