  Very disappointing experience. The grilled fish was small, overcooked and not much flavour. We had a crab, but it was so small that there was not much flesh. The two prawns were OK. Salad and fries were basic. This was one of the most expensive meals we had during our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and it ranked in our bottom three. If it was half the price but the same quality, I would review it less harshly. Definite tourist trap. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it was quite awkward with the staff hovering around us. The chatty host sat on the table next to us, brooding over his log book and shouting for the attention of every foreigner walking by. The front seating area looks newly refurbished, but a trip to the washroom reveals a dirty and unloved underbelly. There were a lot of flies in the room and they absolutely loved the cloth napkins on our table.

  Very disappointing! The worst meal we’ve had in Sri Lanka!! We ordered the fish platter, which was 3000lkr, we had a mullet fish, two prawns, a small crab, a shrimp, and some cuttlefish, also some token salad and fries. The prawns and cuttlefish were good, but the shrimp and crab were not fresh and very small. The mullet fish was small, over cooked and still had scales on it. The owner and other staff were hovering around which was a bit annoying. There were lots of flies around and the napkins were dirty. This place is very overpriced and the quality was poor. Do not go there! It’s a total rip off!

  the best place to get a meal in brown beach sri lanka..... great taste.. and i would like to visit again.....

  It took us 1.5 hrs to get our food on the table. The food was totally different from what we expected. Very disappointing taste, prawns were not fresh, tuna too dry and chicken that i can't even chew.

  Very nice owner and good food!
