  Had a comfortable stay in Bathiya and Suzy's home. This is not a hotel but more of a home stay. It feels like staying with your Aunty and uncle more than a hotel. The property and grounds are lovely. Breakfast was a basic western spread which was fine but dinner of traditional Sri Lankan food was excellent. Good wine too which is hard to come by in Sri Lanka. My only suggestion would be for the owners to invest in some large signage at the road side as we did get lost once or twice coming home later in the evening. Note that this place is A good 30 min by tuk tuk in heavy traffic from the town centre/lake. Having said that we enjoyed getting a quiet night sleep away from the touristic chaos. Thanks for a nice stay

  Amazing guest house close to Kandy (only 30min from the center of the city). The food was delicious and the owners were always available to give a few advice. This place make staying in Kandy a pleasant experience.

  Awesome cooking demonstration! This was one of the highlights of our SL holiday - Suzy at The Kandyan Manor provided some great insights into traditional Sri Lankan food. The tour started with her husband, Bathiya, taking us to the local market to shop for the ingredients, and it was fascinating to see the various varieties of fruits and vegetables. Afterwards, we got to participate in the preparation and cooking of a fish curry, a beetroot curry, and the ever-present coconut sambal. Since she had lived in Mauritius for a few years, we spent quite a bit of time comparing recipes and food varieties. We then ate the delicious food we had prepared, and when we left, received a very nice present from the hosts. Definitely recommend this activity if you are in Kandy!

  Tge best place for homestay. Serves good food
