::Simply amazed from the time we entered the premises. Enchanted by the natural beauty of the flora and fauna within the property and beyond. The nature trail for birdlovers is a must. Very friendly and courteous staff serving the local delicacies.

::We only stayed here a quick night and we're disappointed we didn't stay longer! Unlike many, the naturalist at the Other Corner was very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff provided excellent service. We were so disappointed that we had to leave before breakfast. The menu looked amazing and we were very happy with our dinner.

::This is not 5* .. it's way better. The staff are friendly and speak with you , and not in the 'mechanical' 5* style (which is also nice sometimes). I love my cozy, unique, castaway mini villa on stilts. Room #s 1 & 2 are connected by a foyer and have a large outdoor sitting area so you have a whole cabana that can accommodate 8. Check out my pics!

::When I do return to Sri Lanka (and I definitely SHALL), The Other Corner will be the first place I go back to, and for a MUCH longer stay. Imagine the coziest little cottage where the only things you might hear around you are your breath and heartbeat. Then you're greeted with utter kindness and all the help you could possibly need. You begin to forget any uncomfortable ride or flight you may have had, especially since this place is a 4 hour drive from Colombo Airport. 3 days was not even remotely enough time to enjoy this beautiful gem of a hidden getaway. All excursions were arranged with the local staff (it's worth mentioning the staff is undyingly happy to help you with truly anything) and then the food is a completely separate story. What amazed me is that the menu wasn't completely westernized, stayed true to its roots for the area and has the perfect sized portions even for a guy like myself who considers my own meals feed a family of 3. Bravo to the manager and staff who arranged everything and helped us with transportation. Next time, I will need a minimum of a week here. I absolutely loved it.
