  The Red Keep has been my home away from home while wandering through Sri Lanka. Sam is a honest and welcoming host. He constantly made sure I was enjoying my stay and went the extra mile taking me around on his free time. The room was comfortable and clean (the sheets were changed on arrival, what a luxury after South East Asia!) and a towel was provided. Nilaveli itself is a really quite area. Don't expect to find many restaurants around here, especially if, like me, you come during low season (November until March). The beach is at a walking distance from the house and I literally had it to myself when I went there.
