::+ absolutely stellar host and staff, some of the best in our extensive travels. From lending us his binoculars to doing our laundry last-minute to waking up with us at 5 to make breakfast on the day we departed and many other things... plus connecting us with a great driver, we SO appreciated the host's service. + clean room with shampoo, conditioner (not frequently available in our experience). nice cooling ceiling fan. + we just loved the food, had Sri Lankan and Western breakfast, plus dinner: to die for shrimp, fish curry, fruit. Very reasonably priced food. + nice to the beach with small private area on the edge of the property shaded by trees, overlooking sand and complete with comfy lounge chairs. + location felt secluded while being close enough to other places to go somewhere else for dinner. + pretty, well cared for grounds with hermit crabs, birds, etc. - we would have added a luggage rack or small cabinet to the room to have somewhere to put stuff, though there was a coatrack. I assume the chalets have these things. - our room was a bit basic (but for the price, reasonable). Definitely see if you can stay in a chalet- we got a last-minute booking over New Year's so had the one basic room at the property.
