  Good job has been done by batticaloa tamil sangam. Thiruvalluvar statue is very important to batticaloa. So our next generation also know about thirukkural and thiruvalluvar

  The Thiruchelvam Statue (திருவள்ளுவர் சிலை) was constructed in the entrance of Batticaloa city as land mark. It was constructed by the Batticaloa Tamil Sangam. The Statue was donated by Indian politicians to place it in several places in Sri Lanka. The opening of this statue was took place on June 20 2017 with the participation of Hon. Minister V Radhakrisnan partipated as cheif guest while several other interlectuas from India also participated.
