  Today morning I went to exchange my Malaysia ringgit to Sri Lanka Rupees at Thomas cook at Colombo airport. A gentleman inside the counter behaved disrepectfully waving hands to go to next bank and not willing to explain when i asked again. He was so impolite. I had good reputation withThomas cook that's why I chose to exchange my currency. Because such unprofessional personnel I will be much reluctant to go again

  Very bad service and they exploit passengers for earning profits. They have their outlet just outside the arrival gate after customs. While exchanging my dollars for SLR, I asked them whether any commission is charged. They said, we don't charge any commission and can reconvert into dollars (from Departure hall) without any charges, provided we have a receipt to prove that dollars were converted from Thomas cook. While leaving the country, I tried to reconvert from Departure hall and they asked me to pay Rs. 500 as charges and they clearly stated "It is our Business" and according to me it is cheating. Only 'Bank of Ceylon' exchange currencies without any charges (If you have a valid exchange receipt issued from Arrival hall). Also avoid exchanging from Commercial Bank. Preferred Banks. 1. Bank of Ceylon 2. Hatton Bank.
