  People relocated from Dutch bar and Navalady of Batticaloa are relocated after the Tsunami to this location in years 2005 and later. Lot of Non-Government Agencies (NGO) involved in constructing these housing scheem. Also the infrastructures were developed. Thisis the place where the District secretariat is planned to move in the years to come.
