  After having missed a flight, we were looking for a nice place to take stock and re-book our departure. This lovely little boutique hotel was exactly what we were looking for. All the staff were lovely and very focused on our comfort. Special appreciation goes to Dinesh who went out of his way to share recommendations with me from his Ayurvedic training! The family rooms were beautifully appointed, spacious and perfect for our needs and the pool was great. This place made all the difference for us in turning a bad experience into a positive holiday-within-a-holiday. I have my own beachfront rental villa in Hikkaduwa and will have no hesitation recommending this hotel to my own guests as a great option when looking for a place close to the airport.

  Clean and comfortable for night before flying out. Breakfast was decent not too much for vegetarians.Room service menu was very pricey - and the rooms are tiny. But the pool area is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. Also the hotel taxi transfer price seemed really outrageous. We got a 1st class taxi for half the price by a local operator.

  We had a great time.. And the staff was very good.. And the Manager Joe is doing an awesome job there.. looking forward for another visit soon...

  I travel as a single female with my five year old daughter. Waves by tranquil is suitable for traveling with children thou most travelers here are romantic couples. This place is safe and staff is very friendly and helpful. The staff keep asking if there is anything they can do for you and seam to get delighted if you come up with somthing they can do for you. The place is very clean and the pool is great. Here are two things that makes Waves by tranquil different from all other places I have stayed at ever. 1) I had booked 3 nights at the hotel. My flight was delayed and I arrived one day late. The hotel did not charge me for the third night. Note that I did not ask to not have the third night removed from my bill. The manager just charge me for the two nights because he thought that was the right thing to do. 2) The manager know the name of everybody who stay in the hotel. This place get good ratings because it is fantastic. I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Negombo.

  A new addition in negambo!! Great location. keen owner who seeks to constantly improve the service meeting all clients experience. Nice size rooms and swimming pool is certainly a great addition, although,just around the corner from the beach. Will definitely be returning.
