  Better visit hikaduwa & you can visit bentota only if you want to experience some water sports.

  Great beach, clean & clear waters. Lovely golden soft sand. Shallow water for a long way. Nice big beach.

  Beautiful and (almost) deserted beaches with miles of jungle fringed sand. There are some large and expensive hotels but they are not over intrusive in the views. Sands shelve fairly gently but there can be fairly strong currents in places and waves can be a bit intimidating at some states of the tide.
