  This is Fawlty Towers. Can't fault friendliness of staff. However there was no management demonstrated at all. Greeted by bunch of boys in shorts - didn't even seem like staff. English spoken was mostly very limited. Wanting to pay for drink, I asked "how much". After 5 minutes the guy came back with a hammer! The food we had on the first night was actually quite good. But the flies are a big problem. And most things on the menu are not available. After asking for wine, Ginger beer, soda and all not available I asked what was - coke or fanta or water. Ordered water but it never came! Bed and room comfortable but hotel right next to railway track with frequent noisy trains which shook the room. Bedding fine. Bathroom enormous but not sure the latter was cleaned prior to our arrival. Tooth glass encrusted with dried toothpaste spit for example. Stay made bearable by nice staff and managers at 5 star hotel nearby who let us use their facilities. An interesting experience but future Guests be aware!

  This is a terrible hotel that makes little to no effort in cleanliness, tidiness or food hygiene. My room was filthy and had a leaky roof and shook ever time a train passed by (which was often and the line is right next to the hotel). The eating area was inundated with flies and the food served was of a low standard and expensive. I can't stress highly enough how much more you can get in Sri Lanka for the same or lower price. The lack of effort indicated to me that the hotel owner was primarily interested in cashing in on the tourist dollar with little effort or thought put into how to achieve a halfway decent hotel experience.

  Need to improve. Service is poor. Rooms are not clean. Sticky floor. Crew not able to understand what guest want. Any how rooms are quite big. Need more effort.

  Very nice hotel, service was excellent as well. We stayed at the king suite which could easily accommodate 4-5 pax and it was more than worth it for the price 😊

  Loved the rooms and the swimming pool. It also had great food. My family and I want there for three days.
