  Clean, simple, good food and reasonably priced. That alone justifies the 5-Stars for me. But what really amazed me was the hospitality of the owner. Organizing day-tours and taxis, giving helpful hints for the rest of our trip, making delicious local meals, there seems to be nothing she won't do to make you feel at home. And you do, it feels more like a home than a hotel. A few facts: -Interior out of tasteful antiques -Bathrooms standard for Sri Lanka, not new but clean -about 10 min (800m) on foot to the milk lake (Center of Kandy) -Does border on a railway track, but few trains on the day and none at night. Overall noise is noticeable, but low -a drive from the railway station should cost you no more than 250 Rupie If you read my blabbering until now, just go for it, you won't regret it.

  Very nice place! Perfect host, friendly and always helpfull. Old british house with nice balcony in the back. Very close to the train track, nevertheless not so many trains a day. I definitely recommend it for a stay in Kandy.

  Charmé par cette guestouse hors du temps, so british. La maitresse de maison est charmante, un des employés parle très bien le français.
