  I was there in 1953. My ship docked there for a day. Two friends and I went to the Mt Lavinia hotel on liberty. W ordered beer. Guess what? They brought 3 bottles of WARM beer. YUK! We went back to our U.S. aircraft carrier, the USS Lake Champlain, headed for Korea. I

  We booked a room to dress up for a wedding. I wanted to get my dress ironed using their laundry services. But after arriving there they refused to do so saying that their steamer was broken and so on....what annoyed me was that when I inquired him about the laundry services over the phone before arriving he promised that it can be done!!!

  Typical Sri Lankan court complex. untidy garden, unkept Court houses. Dirty and un hygienic toilets. Congested court rooms. Indisciplined crowd

  A very busy Court. And venue of many high profile cases heard inside over the years. Has a fairly good reputation.

  4 days there(away from home in Zambia) and it was the most awesome of experiences i have ever had...the food,tho quite chilly,was spectacularly nice...Am hoping to go back one day,with that special one,GOD-willing...It's a premier destination for lovers of adventure
