Just adjoining the Cheers Pub is this unique village ambiance. You will definitely fall in love with this place from the word go. Oh, one more thing...better make a reservation prior to visiting them. You don’t need to be disappointed right?

::I would recommend this place without any hesitation to anyone. I would even say that this is the best restaurant in Sri Lanka. Customer service is extremely good and they maintain their standards really well. They would make sure that their customers are well taken cared of and customers will be fully satisfied. They have authentic Sri Lankan dishes and great ambience. For an example even Katta Sambol they have it made in few different ways that you would find very easily anywhere. They also have Sri Lankan sweets for desserts. If you really want to try Sri Lankan cuisine and hospitality then this is the place for you. On Poya days they will have only vegetarian food and they have buffet for all three meals. You can experience a real Sri Lankan village house atmosphere with a massive Nuga tree in the middle of the garden and discover many more things. During Vesak they even have a small Dansala at the entrance. If it's your birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion they would even arrange a cake from their end. You can even book this place for weddings especially for Poruwa ceremonies under a Nuga tree. They even have Sri Lankan live Eastern music band.

::Exceptionally good meal and though it was our very first in Sri Lanka, Id dare say it’s at least a reasonable sampling of authentic cuisine. Lots to choose from including plenty of vegetarian options. Everything tasted fresh and very well prepared. The fresh grill was delicious, as were the dozen different curries to choose from. The dessert section has more delicacies than my belly could handle. The service was excellent, very attentive and courteous. They even made a space for us when we hadn’t made a booking.

::There are some negative comments on trip advisor for this place and they seem to come from locals. I am not local but I did travel over the country and I will say that the food here is some of the most authentic and flavorful that I've had. You are welcomed into a village and you dine under a large tree, much like Asterix and Obelisk. It's genuinely beautiful with eye for detail and authenticity. They bring in the cooks and servers from a neighboring village to maintain the traditional flavor and preparation of the food. The style is buffet and they had truly unusual vegetables as well as preparation methods for all the fishes that we tried. The sesame balls for dessert were stand out, as was the prawn curry and the squash dish. The menu is seasonal and rotates based on what people consume in the area. I also recommend the local toddy drink, tastes like a light coconut water lemonade. I personally would always love to come back here whenever I'm in Colombo.
