Insane! Best thing in the whole of Sri lanka! Good for the family and the volunteers are great probably the nicest people I have ever met! Bob the turtle is lovely and it's great to see they look after him so well!

Enthusiastic staff and you get really close to the turtles. Letting out baby turtles into the ocean makes you feel really good and is amazing. Well worth a visit!

Very small. Cost us 500Rs each to visit. Guide gave us information on each tank containing the turtles. He said they operate under the governments directions. Tanks just don’t seem big enough. Especially since they are supposed to be kept here until they are 3 yrs old before they released into the wild. But then again I’m not an expert. Was cool to see the turtles up close. The ones that are injured are not released apparently and live there permanently. The tanks for them are definitely too small. During our visit one of the turtles was trying to claw its way out. That’s what it seemed to me.

You can touch and hold the turtles and know about how they take care of them.

A very quick tour (5minutes). It was nice seeing the turtles but felt uncomfortable with all the larger Ines that were in pools. Not sure if this is to help or for tourists...there was one lone turtle at the front in a pool and when I asked why he was alone they told me he was 'naughty' and was in the naughty corner. This is very sad. I felt he had been put there just to fill up every pool for tourists. I did like that they helped the baby turtles and released them into the ocean every night..
