What an awesome hotel! This was one of our favorite places to stay in all of Sri Lanka. It’s like staying at your grandparent’s house—it’s quaint, cozy, and full of conversation with the wonderful hosts. They offer lots of advice about what to see and how to get around, and help with reservations and tips on avoiding scams, if needed. We ate dinner and breakfast here too, and it was like eating a lovely home cooked Sri Lankan meal each time. The room had good views, as did the common area. It’s not easily walkable to town, but is easily accessible by tuktuk.

This place was a hidden gem for us in Kandy. The family was so nice, the rooms were comfortable, and the garden is wonderful. The dining area backs up to a bit of jungle and we saw many exotic birds-- and had some of the best food of our trip!!

We stayed here for two nights. The owners were very friendly and spoke English very well. They arranged us a driver (Mr. Perera, awesome guy!) who took us for a daytrip. A tuk-tuk to city center took about 10 minutes and cost rs250. They also informed us very well on must-see's in and around Kandy, traintimes and typical Sri Lankan things. We had dinner here for one night, which was delicious home-cooked! Their daugther prepared most of our food during our stay and she was such a gentle girl and spoke English very good also! Besides the friendly atmosphere we are not that positive about the room. Is was a small room and the bathroom was very inconvenient. Also the wifi didnt work properly which made it hard to plan and manage the rest of our trip. But still, to wake up in such a beautiful area with nice people, was very nice! Stayed September 2015, travelled as a couple
