  My wife and I started our honeymoon in Sri Lanka at Villa 46, and it really was the perfect start to our holiday. The location was fantastic - right on the beach, close enough to town to walk in but far enough was to escape the crazy. The Villa itself is exceptional - beautiful rooms, great pool, amazing view, just perfect really. The staff were amazing, always on hand to look after us and nothing was too much trouble. The food was also some of the best we had in Sri Lanka, and while not cheap was very reasonably priced - especially the curry which was both cheap and delicious! Highly recommend for all travellers wanting something a little bit special.

  My wife and I are on our honeymoon and our first was Villa 46. We had four nights at there and we loved every bit of it. Suresh, Colin and Nimesh our hosts over our stay were AMAZING. Nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate. What I liked best they knew when we wanted to relax by the gorgeous pool and left us to our own devices but when we wanted a drink/food they weren't far. The rooms are really clean and are made up everyday. The bathroom facilities are everything you'd expect in a quality boutique hotel like the ones in Villa 46. Breakfasts are really delicious and are presently really well. The scrambled eggs were my favourite but once I discovered the Waffles...I couldn't go back. They offer Breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn't have lunch as we were out most days but the Sri Lankan Curry I had for dinner was so so so GOOD! Not too heavy like an Indian curry. It was just right. My wife had the seafood risotto and she loved it. Suresh found out it was our honeymoon and setup the dinner table on the upper balcony with a love heart candle formation around the table which we thought was cute. Location is only a 5 minute tuk tuk out of Hikkaduwa and 25 mins from Galle. The beach right out the front it really nice too. The locals every afternoon play a game of cricket which it fun to watch. Sunset photos are a must with the palm trees you can get some beautiful silhouettes. All in all this place is amazing and I can't recommended this place highly enough.

  I think that the expression "The perfect family hideaway by the sea" is the most used one for Villa 46, but again is more than true. The tranquility, the silence of the nature, the awesome view and above all the discreet service and the warm hospitality, makes this place a paradise for every tired man or woman. Ideal for families to reinvent themselves and their relationship. I do not want to describe the amenities since everything is the exactly as mentioned in the villa website and even better, because they care for their guests and you feel like home away from home.
