  Watergate Resort is the best quiet place to stay in weligama. Clean and comfy rooms and big bathrooms

  I have spent more than a month in Sri Lanka and this place has been my most comfortable and enjoyable stay. The host Vasu is a very humble man who makes you feel like a part of his family. Him and his entire family are extremely welcoming and warm. I would highly recommend this place. Rooms are extremely spacious, clean and with good seating arrangement. 5 mins Walking distance from the beach, 10 mins from city centre. He makes good beef curry. Do try his home cooked food.

  I felt almost like at home. Newly opened, very clean and quiet. Rooms are connected to the owner's house so the feeling there is little bit more local as in the classic hostel or hotel. The owner and his family were sweet, they prepared for me and other guests traditional Sri Lanka's diner for free! And it was delicious! My host could speak very good English and we had a good chat about life here and there. Nice experience! Rooms have air con, if you pay. Breakfast included. I think it's great value for money.

  Nice place with a great view, located in a very convenient place as well.
