  A historical holy statue which built by ancient kings. It is said that one of the kings that ruled old celoyn had a unrecoverable skin rash & this statue was built as a blessing for king's skin rash recovery. In sinhalese "Kushta" means Skin rash & "Raja" means King & "Gala" means the rock. "Kushtarajagala" is meant king with a skin rash on a rock.
