  Good place to see wild life. A few herds of elephants Shouldn't go late in the evening as there are strict guidelines to exit the park at 6:30 pm.

  The count of elephants that we saw there exceeded the count of elephants that I have seen in India in my 40 years. Kids will be thrilled @ Minneriya.

  Minneriya National Park. Ideal lace to see elephants. if you travel during drought season you will able to see hundreds of Elephants. you can hire a safari jeep from the park entrance or Habarana town and then you can enter to Park after buying tickets from the Park entrance. if you are interesting in Bird watching you can see considerable number of wading bird species in the park marshland edges. crocodiles and aquatic tortoise is common sight in the park.

  * One of the best place to watch wild elephants, where they gather in large numbers. * Beautiful scenes inside park. * Can have breath taking rides in safari jeeps * There are some other animals like deer, bears etc. but rear to see. * Some times there are long waiting queues before entering g the park.

  Minneriya National Park is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Park bases on Minneriya tank. Paradise for watching wild elephant. You can witness here the world largest gathering of the wild Asian Elephants in August and September months. There will be more animals to be seen in the dry seasons. Best place to see wild Elephant.
