  Owner cooks and prepares whole fishes himself. Very natural and tasty. We tried 4 restaurants at mirissa, and this was the best one.

  The food is ok, but everything's dirty here and they are very unettentive.

  What a disaster! We came in attracted by the nice fresh seafood display and must admit that my husband's red snapper was very good and well cooked but the positive ends here. At the time we arrived there were 4 tables with customers for a total of approx 18 people. The kitchen is in the front of the restaurant, in a see thru area facing the tables and, when I approached it to go wash my hand at the sink nearby, I must say was very messy and not clean. To our surprise, twice, one of the Chinese customers sitting at a table nearby, went into the kitchen and started cooking her own food .... as if she wanted to make sure that her noodles were properly stir fried or something. We thought that was very strange and unprofessional to let a customer go in the kitchen and handle food. Shall we all go in the kitchen and do our own thing? The red snapper was served with a salad and fries. The fries were soggy and cold and we had a feeling that they had just been recycled from somebody else's plate. We asked for freshly made fries, as those were not edible, and they arrived after 25 minutes. I had ordered a plate of fried calamari and after 30 minutes (my husband had finished his fish long before!), as the calamari had not showed up yet, I waived one of the waiters and told him that, if they had indeed placed my order, to cancel as I did not want to wait any longer. The gentleman happened to be owner, he fumbled something about not knowing what happened and discharging all responsibilities on the young waiter ... very unprofessional. He said he was sorry and although I told him I did not want the calamari anymore, he brought them over after 3 minutes. The calamari were smothered in a thick, sweet tasting batter and they tasted more like coconut croquettes than fried calamari. When the owner brought us the bill, instead of offering a discount or offering to waive the cost of the calamari, he said something about not leaving a tip because of the delay ... so he did not loose any money and the only one who suffered from his poorly managed kitchen, was the waiter! Stay away.

  I was not a guest in the hotel but decided to eat here after passing by. BMC Ranga prepared all of my cuisines and went out of his way to satisfy us. This guy has the most cool energy and really aims to please....The food was great!

  Fantastic food!!! I’m a vegetarian and I had the most amazing white mushroom dish here. Along with vegetable kottu which was excellent as well. The staff here and are great and really wonderful. Highly recommend stopping by here.
